Coffs Harbour boasts a variety of attractions including World Heritage rainforests, a vast rural setting and golden sandy beaches. Explore hidden valleys and meandering rivers, visit a gold mine or take a steam train ride in the beautiful hinterland area of the Coffs Coast.

The Jetty Wharf and Muttonbird Island - Coffs Harbour is brimming with nearby attractions.  Take a stroll along the restored Jetty and enjoy seafood from the Fisherman’s Co-op or wander across the break wall to Mutton-bird Island which is home to a large colony of Wedge tailed Shearwaters (Mutton-birds).

Sawtell Village - A little closer to Coffs Harbour is the charming seaside village of Sawtell where its main street is lined with restaurants, cafes, a majestic cinema and magnificent old fig trees that offer shade in the warm summer months.

Whale Watching Cruises - From May to November each year Coffs Harbour hosts the magnificent Humpback Whales on their annual migration. Shallow waters which surround the harbour create a natural haven for the mammals to escape their predators. Cruises depart the Coffs Harbour Marina and set out to explore the wonders of the Solitary Islands Marine Park.  

Scuba Diving - The Marine Park has currents which flow from the Great Barrier Reef and is home to a mixture of both tropical and southern marine life. There are numerous dive sites around the islands and each offers a diverse range of ocean life including morays, blue damsels, kingfish and green turtles.

Bellingen and The Dorrigo Rainforest - A short drive from Coffs Harbour along the tranquil Waterfall Way is Bellingen with its beautifully restored heritage buildings and a myriad of interesting shops and cafes.  A little further along the Waterfall Way the road climbs through rainforest and waterfalls to Dorrigo with its fresh mountain air and World Heritage National Park.

The Clog Barn – Visit the nearby Clog Barn to experience live clog making demonstrations and a walk through a miniature Dutch village.

Dolphin Marine Magic - Enjoy Coffs Harbour’s very own Dolphin Marine Magic which offers live dolphin and seal shows as well as interactive visitations with the resident penguins, barramundi and sea turtles.

Bunker Cartoon Gallery – There are plenty to unique art galleries in Coffs Harbour including the Bunker Cartoon Gallery which is housed in a World War II bunker and is home to the largest collection of cartoons in the country.
